Player Availability - Curtley Williams

Thursday 4th August 2011

Former Ipswich Town midfielder Curtley Williams who just missed out on a deal at Inverness Caledonian Thistle last January when a deal could not be agreed with Spanish side Jerez Industrial has written to all the clubs in Scotland looking for an opportunity to show what he can do.

The versatile 21 year old, who spent time out at the Glenn Hoddle Soccer Academy in Spain, has just finished a trial at Latvian side Skonto Riga, however he wants to find employment closer to home.

Williams said, “I was scouted at the age of 10 and joined Ipswich Town and played at all levels there from Under 11 to the Ipswich Town Reserves before being in the first intake of players selected by Glenn Hoddle to join his Academy in Spain.”

“I played in Spain before having a successful trial with Inverness but was unable to sign for them due to financial reasons between Jerez Industrial and Inverness. I played out the rest of the season with Chelmsford but would love to give Scotland another go.”
