Five-star performance by Morton Morton continued their free-scoring cup form with a 5-0 win at Forfar in the second round of the Ramsdens Cup. Michael Tidser fired the visitors' best chance of a quiet opening period wide from inside the area but an astonishing three-goal burst in five second-half minutes blew Forfar away and saw Morton build on their 8-0 demolition of Stranraer in the previous round. David O'Brien slotted home Tidser's pull-back after 56 minutes before Peter Weatherson dispatched a 25-yard free-kick and Peter MacDonald applied the finish to Paul Di Giacomo's cross. Forfar defender Jamie Bishop brought down O'Brien in the penalty area after 74 minutes and, although MacDonald's spot-kick was parried by home goalkeeper Greg Paterson, he was able to slot home the rebound.
