IRN-BRU Third Division Clubs
The Third Division is the lowest SFL division and fourth overall in the senior football league system in Scotland. Containing ten clubs each year, the top club is promoted to the Second Division, clubs in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places enter an end of season play-off with the 9th placed club in the Second Division. There is no relegation from the Third Division, although if a club finishes bottom for two successive seasons, the Management Committee may determine that the status of the club will be reduced to that of an Associate Member.
